So, who is the person (people) behind SoccerHistoryNow.com? Who are the writers of these great articles and soccer history information?
Drum roll please…

These are the creators of SoccerHistoryNow.com. What a great pair!
I thoroughly enjoy building this website “with” my daughter. This experience has truly been a labor of love.
I started playing soccer when I was five years old and have never turned away from the sport. According to my mother she had to drag me to my first soccer practice kicking and screaming… she also had to drag me back to the car kicking and screaming to the leave the field at the end of my first soccer practice. I fell in love with the sport at my first training session. I hope I can share this same fulfillment with my readers.
I played neighborhood youth soccer in elementary school, I played club and select soccer during middle school, in junior high school I played in the Netherlands with a couple academy teams and I played Division I soccer in college. Unfortunately, I was unable to play professional soccer after college and decided to coach. I coach and personally train all ages from youth to Division I college players. Helping all of these players and coaches has been truly enjoyable.
The internet has provided me with another level to give back my love of this sport to the next generation of soccer players. The game has evolved so quickly in the past few years it is amazing. Unfortunately, the game has moved too quickly in that the youth do not have the proper training and enjoyment of the sport and the coaches and parents do not have the proper expectations of players based upon misguided and misplaced expectations.
That being said, there are great soccer players, coaches and parents out there. I will definitely highlight those people and groups within this website. My goal (no pun intended) is to provide soccer information to all levels of soccer enthusiasts. From soccer reviews for the experts to discuss to entry level soccer information for beginning soccer moms and dads.
